I get a bunch of "Package Load Failure" at startup ("Package 'Visual Studio Common IDE Package' has failed to load properly..." for exemple). I had a similar issue on XP Pro (see message# 1171200) that i never resolved.

Not much help help i know but i mention it now in case your issue is not with Vista.

I assumed my problem was because i had VS2003 and/or beta VS2005 on this PC.
