Which court exactly is Bush personally responsible for packing it with conservatives? (Circuit, district, supreme, ...) My first thought was that you meant the Supreme Court and it got me thinking about parties and judicial law. I am really amazed actually, at the difference of opinion on the Supreme Court given their responsibility

As the final arbiter of the law, the Court is charged with ensuring the American people the promise of equal justice under law and functions as guardian and interpreter of the Constitution.

In which case, shouldn't all Supreme Court Justices actually be Strict Constitutionalists? :o)

>As you know, this was the doing of Bush (more likely the Prince of Darkness, Cheney), not Miers. He is defying Congress on the grounds of executive privilege. All the news accounts I have read predict it will wind up in court. Bush must feel confident about his chances there, having packed it with conservatives. THOSE guys will be affecting our lives long after Bush and Cheney are gone from office.
