So you feel the danger is significantly higher in higher density area's, I guess we agree on that.

Not so much danger as courtesy. After a 2 hour show, the backyard is littered with debris. But either way, I wouldn't shoot my big stuff in my own backyard.

I think 65 on 78 is reasonable, as I am sure you know there are tons of accidents on that road (to be fair I don't drive in rural areas) and that it needs to be patrolled more vigorously. But, obviously people choose to break the law all the time, if they get caught, they should pay the piper.

On certain areas of the turnpike, driving the speed limit (IMO) puts you MORE at risk, because everyone else (even people in the right lane) go so much faster. So I try to keep it between 65 and the flow of traffic.

I think to reasonable solution would to include an insurance premium on every device. This money (say $10/device) would go to pay for property damage, emergency room visits, and police and firemen that all use taxpayer dollars to cover for the irresponsible.

How do you feel about illnesses from smoking?

Let me ask you this, do you really think its worth the risk to allow unregulated use of explosives in high density area's, for what, a few hours of giggles and grins? Not me....

Come to my show next year, you might think differently. ;)
