OK, what's farsighted and what's shortsighted?

I think I'm farsighted because I can see far - I can read the street name a dozen meters before I have to switch lanes, and I can still read license plates across the street. I'm shortblinded now, though - anything closer than a meter (at lower light - make that about 60cm outside) is blurry.
