>>>First time I've seen this one. I have a FPW26 dbf that will not open. Error 1113 (VFP5) "File is not open" is returned after attempting to use the file. I suspect a corrupt cdx or fpt but FoxFix finds no errors with the file. I can open the file using FOPEN(). Any ideas? All help is appreciated.
>>Although Foxfix says that I still suspect header is corrupt. Header info could be fixed with a hexeditor. I sent some prg. Inform me of the result.

Randy,
I've run into this problem on Win95 workstations running Novell Client 32. If this is your environment, rest assured that the data is fine. Apparently, there may be a problem with caching. I added an extra FLUSH prior to closing the tables. Further, Ed Rauh had a suggestion regarding the settings that I passed on to our net admin folks. Hadn't heard any problems recently. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly what it entailed.
hth,
George
