I added an extra FLUSH prior to closing the tables. Further, Ed Rauh had a suggestion regarding the settings that I passed on to our net admin folks. Hadn't heard any problems recently. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly what it entailed.

George,
My client was running Windows 3.11 on Novell 3.12. I think they re-booted the workstation because the re-index routine was "taking too long". I have made them a new sign. I also recovered the data. Most of the clients are running Novell Client 32. I will save this info in my knowledge base.
Thank you for the input, Randy
