... nothing. But if you automatically create a new record when the form first comes up does the user know (s)he is in the add mode? Consider the user who repeatedly clicks on the Save button and there is no field in the table that is a candidate key. At any rate, the form I am creating requires a dialog form to appear whenever the user wants to add a new record. So I prefer the user proactively create a new record.
