>I have a program that I wrote for a customer (decent sized program, billed on an hourly basis.) It was written under a no source code agreement.
What were the reasons back then ? (Both sides, insofar as you remember the arguments)
>Now they want the Source code.
Do they want source code for safety against your accidents or ability to re-sell (would include copyrights) ?
Ask for specifics so to be sure get the correct price <g>
>I'm not sure what to up-charge them for the source code.
Do you want/think any further business with them ?
Any chance of reselling as is to other customers ?
Was it difficult to build/is recreating hard ?
Not enough info to give recommodations
>Any feedback you have would be appreciated.
Also think whethter there is something in the code you would like to re-use in other projects -
when I work in source included scenarios (most of the time) I have a clause in the contract
giving me re-use rights to any codes not tied directly to the customers business
consider something similar <g>.
