Agree absolutely. I don't care if a guy is a jerk to the press or the fans, but I'd like him at least to be honest. Ted Williams never had much of a love affair with the press or fans, but he never felt the need to cheat, and he is still, in my estimation, the finest pure hitter baseball has ever seen, and I was a fan - even if he was not one of the most likeable players.
