Can you go back through this message thread and answer my previous questions to Moacyr? Not meaning to be snarky, I'm interested in the answers. I want to find out whether there is a bug in the SP2 files. We don't have much time.

Are you seeing exactly the same symptoms? (prompt for dbf, then messagebox)?

Are you seeing this on more than one machine? In deployment environment?
