Cathy -

I have been developing with VFP 9 SP2 Beta and everything has been running just fine for me (in the development environment). As soon as we built an EXE and gave it to a beta client, they are getting the message. They say they first get the "Class or behavior to handling conditional rendering..." message. Then they click on okay and get the prompt to pick a DBF. They also say there's a bunch of garbage spit out on the screen and the screen shot they sent us clearly shows some SET TALK ON stuff ...

We think this is related to a bug in the SP2 CTP (June '07) patch process. Basically, some of the FFC source files are out of synch. We informed MSFT of this problem as soon as we found it.

If you installed the June SP2 patch over a SP1 VFP9 installation, some of the *.h files are not updated.

Applying the June SP2 patch to an RTM VFP 9.0 install will successfully update all the relevant FFC source files.

So basically, if you are recompiling FFC source files (rather than using the pre-compiled Report*.App files) you must make sure you have obtained or refreshed your FFC source files from a "good" place - patch RTM directly to SP2 to be sure.
