>The CDMA networks are faster though, expecially with EVDO-REV A becoming avail in a lot of areas, so I prefer Sprint or Verizon, and Sprint always seems to have the better deals on service plans.
>Depending upon what you have for a cell phone, you can avoid getting one of these air cards and actually teather your cell-phone to yer laptop and use the cell phone's internet connection. Lot of carriers really hate you doing that and sometimes (unless you know what your doing) they can tell yer doing that. Plus of course you can't be talking on the phone AND be online at the same time either. The aircards are really nice though, no worries no fuss, go anywhere and it works - plus yer not having to use some wifi that a bunch of people you dont know are connecting too. Also, from what I've been told by some of the techs at the office, the Sierra cards are the best ones to get.

Not sure about the CDMA vs. (EDGE?) I was going to get the Option 3G Max 3.6, but the sales guy talked me into the Sierra basically because of reviews and that it is USB, so I can hook it up to any PC/Laptop. I looked it up and it got Editor's Choice in PCMag and seemed to be rated pretty well overall. A little expensive at $300 list price for the card, but I got it for $150 with a $100 mail-in rebate, so $50 bucks. The monthly cost for the extra data line (and another phone number (?) is $59, give or take a couple bucks.
