When apps are built correctly using proper techniques, the apps sizzle. I posted the results of a quick comparison on a dataload into our system using VFP on one side and .Net on the other. The times for both runs were with in a few .10ths of a second, using the same source data files. However, I got lambasted about every periferal thing that could be thought of and not the main issue which is, that the data speeds were nearly the same.

Have a few articles in the works and will soon have a blog available. I can't post code samples because of the security nature of our code, but I can post general ideas.
