I saw both, Sergey's answer and your reply. But I prefer to use DSNless connection.
Of course if you use DSN you have more flexibility to switch servers, users and pass at ones, if you store main DSN somewhere over the network and watch when it is changed. But that requires to have Shared folder somewhere, where all local stations could have access. I am not sure that all DBA or IT managers could allow that (if you use SQL Server, or any other Client/Server database).
