Not many of us were happy with Thomas Jones being traded, or should I say given away. Cedric Benson is unproven. And what if he gets injured? They only have Adrian Peterson (the other one) and a midget from Northern Illinois in reserve.

At the moment their bigger problem is the defense. That is supposed to be the strength but as banged up as they are they are as questionable as the offense.

Between Emily's volleyball, being a single parent in general, soccer, and work I have watched about 20 minutes of football so far this season. And I can't say I am missing it much. I'm not angry -- I still follow it in the news -- but I don't miss watching it. The travails of O.J. Simpson and Michael Vick haven't helped. We thought these guys were heroes?

>I caught some of NFL Live on Espn last nite. Along with Grossman the talking heads were discussing how long before Benson is benched. Sean Salisbury was blunt in his assessment that Jones was traded to the Jets because of politics (Benson was a 1st round pick), and that the Jones trade had more to do with the Bears plight this season then anything.

>>>My Broncs are out of synch. They are playing the Colts in Indie this weekend, so we'll see if they can get the number 1 offense in gear. The boyz have definitely been looking sharp. I'm just glad the Raiders still suck!

>>The big news around here is the Bears have finally benched Rex Grossman. Brian Griese practically defines the word "journeyman" but he probably won't take them out of games the way Grossman has. Rex's confidence is shot and that's a bad place to be for an NFL quarterback.
