Yes...and it's a long, hard road to educate them.
As for the form freezing, is there someone who can either 1) look at the form for you (fresh pair of eyes) or, 2) knows absolutely nothing about what your doing so you can explain your code to them?
I've found that the first generally works very quickly ("Yeah, your problem is right there (pointing)" within about 30 seconds), while the second take a little bit more time, but you'll find the problem when you quit 'seeing' the code as you thought you wrote it and actually see what you wrote.
