Since Belgium belonged to Netherlands prior to 1830, shouldn't we say French Fries were invented by the Dutch (probably even the Spanish Dutch at that) ? :o)



>French fries were actually a Belgian invention. I was guessing it was the Brits, but no. It would be in character to take an idea from the French and not give them the satisfaction.
