I've never dealt with SQL 7 databases so I'm just guessing now, but one option that Sergei mentioned may be needed if you can not attach or restore the 7.0 database in 2005.
(this is assuming the 7.0 database size is less than 2GIG - otherwise you'll need SQL Server 2000)
Install MSDE on a server or workstation, attach the database using that, and then back it up in MSDE. That will restore in SQL 2005.
