Alex,
Try this: Tools | Customize, then click on the Rearrange Commands button. Try adding from the Rearrange Commands Dialog.

>Thank you Bonnie. When I right-click on the solution it doesn't show Configuration Manager. The question becomes how to get it there. I tried to get it there by choosing Tools > Customize and then dragging Commands > Build > Configuration Manager to the Solution in the Solution Explorer but had no success. After that I tried dragging Commands > Build > Configuration Manager to the Build menu item in the topmost VS menu. It does appear there but remains deactivated. Any other suggestions?
