>A question that popped into my head this weekend. There have been numerous frameworks for VFP, but none that I recall for VB, and the ones that have popped up for dotnet mostly appear to be coming from prior VFP developers.

A bit lower in the level of finish - more like the old codebook compared to the commercial fwks based on it (many good ideas, some bugs, not a finsihed product with a hotline, but some online support) you have Rocky Lhotka's stuff coming from VB6/COM. There is also book on one of the shelves were I sometimes work - "Enterprize Achitecture" touching on some typical components/patterns as well, but I have only skimmed it.

But I am drawing blanks for similar stuff on the java side - do you happen to know a similar fwk there ?

regards
