>>A question that popped into my head this weekend. There have been numerous frameworks for VFP, but none that I recall for VB, and the ones that have popped up for dotnet mostly appear to be coming from prior VFP developers.

I think that's very true of Strataframe. At this stage reminds me a lot of VFE 6.0 circa 1999. There was a lot of promise, good design, definitely better than working without it, but it would take a couple years of use to determine best-practices, refinement and enhancement and some major changes in the underlying ( VFP ) functionality to give it the maturity it has now. Since the energy level is much higher in .NET now than it was in VFP even six years ago I would think it will take about another two years for the Strataframe framework to be what is in the mind of its designers.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
