I mentioned this once before, but I don't know if you ever saw it. There is a product on the market called "Coffee-Mate". It's a coffee whitener. When it first came on the market (they've changed the label since), the label said: An Artificial edible oil substitute

I was never able to figure out whether that meant it was a substitute for an artificial edible oil created because they ran out of the real artificial edible oil, or if it was an artificial substitute for an edible oil created because they ran out of the real substitutes for it.

>>>In the mid 80s I ate at McDonalds in Germany. The hamburgers looked the same but they didn't taste the same. They were better. They used German beef and german cuts of meat. Not as good as Angus though. One thing that always surprised me in Europe is that meat cuts are taken from different sections of the animal than they are in the states. You can't get the same cuts of meat.

Now there is a Chinese place here in my suburb with food as good as I've had in Singapore, Bangkok or Hong Kong (where I hear you can get good MacDonalds and KFC <g>). Kind of nice.
