My 'understanding' is that drowning and fire are the two most painful ways to go. (or a bullet to the stomach). So maybe we can try those. I remember years ago, Andy Rooney was critical of attempts to make the death penalty less 'painful'....he wanted to go back to more cruel methods. I'm all for that. A good old fashioned impalement would be fine with me.
