> _How_ do you expect to show a POTENTIAL employer that you are a good candidate.

Actually Nancy,

I thought I had. I mentioned in an earlier posting that I like the company that I'm working for. I'm not seriously looking for employment elsewhere. Just poking around. I know I've proved to the company (after almost 2 years) that I can do the work and make the customer happy. OK, if they wanted time to see first hand what I can really do, that's reasonable . But, the time has come for them to drop the "you don't have a degree" excuse and provide equal pay. You see, they are getting from me right now what someone with a degree would be giving them. The EXACT same thing.

All the POTENTIAL employer needs to look at, if they want to be fair and take the time, is the track record. References, previously written sample applications, completed seminars and performance evaluations. These should be enough. I used to manage a small retail business for 5 years, prior to getting in this field. I had to hire people for minimum wage. When credentials were not dependable, I had to use my instincts. I got burnt sometime. But most of the time I didn't. Everybody needs to trusted to some degree. We all have to start somewhere.

Thanks again for listening, Dave
