Marty,

Usually the only table fields I specifically map are integer FK fields that are lookups into a codes table. I have a cbo subclass to handle those.

The only problem is remembering to switch the reg files, a couple of times I've gotten projects cross connected and it's just a slight PITA to switch the classlibs around in the forms.

>Thanks for the tip on using the registery key. I have several projects going on at once and some use different class libs. Unfortunately, when I develop the data model I don't map the individual table fields because I'm not sure at the time what the class lib is going to contain. It is such a pain to go back and map each individual field later, and setting the default field mapping in the options means you have to redo it every time you change projects. The trick withthe registery key is ideal. Thanks again. Marty Hutto
