The same stories about low priced HD-DVD players at Walmart and KMart dropping Blu-Ray also say that HD-DVD will win the war based on priced. It's interesting that Blu-Ray is backed by Sony....Betamax vs. VHS once more, with Sony losing again.
Personally, I'm just fine with standard DVD and will wait for the Hi-Def wars to shake out some more before I plunge in.
