If you know users will have Word installed, the Arial Narrow font is great for squeezing more realestate from a report. Another way to go would to have two fields on top of each other with conditional when clause. For most numbers the condition would be true (under a certain amount) and print normally, if it was over the amount that would fit, it could use a smaller font, or drop the lease siginificant digits.
