Between registering and unregistering components, different software packages, etc - a total dump and reload is what it takes....especially on NT.

Wouldn't disagree for a moment, JVP. However, I think that a product (a reliable one, that is) such as RegClean is needed. Doing a total dump and reload at a regular interval (even up to a year) should be unnecessary. In short, it would be a monsterous waste of time. I've used the version available from the KB article twice on a Win95a machine without problems, and I should add, with a huge (probably too huge) registry.
Since I don't use NT, I wouldn't presume to speak on its reliability there, and would urge anyone thinking about using this program, regardless of platform, to back up their registry files before doing so. As a matter of fact, I'd go as far to say that backing up of these files should be done on a regular basis regardless of whether or not RegClean is used.
