I'm not sure it sounds like a very good use of my time though. I'll try the GIF technique and if that doesn't take too long (there are probably 100 of them if you count picture and disabled picture) that may be worth a try. Otherwise, I may have to live with a bit of an aura around the images.

In the article links I posted, there are examples of how to convert image files to use in VFP using VFP CODE, you don´t need any image editing software.

Also gif is a poor choice since you can only have 256 colors, of the 16,777,216 colors available in any modern day standard graphics card/monitor.

Those 2 articles where written to solve your exact problem, using only VFP code and the GDIPLUSX classes.
