>We were told that recipients were selected by two or three people including you...

You were told incorrectly how the process allegedly happened, which is how I was pulled into this thread. I thought I was clearing things up. I hope I have for most, but obviously not for you.

>... and that a meeting had been held recently by illuminati to decide how to move forward, but no decision was announced yet.

Once again, either you are choosing to twist the facts or are intentionally spreading misinformation. There was no official meeting to determine the selection process moving forward. Informal discussion took place over a dinner. These discussions settled nothing and only reinforced the point made earlier that a process to make the selection is necessary since the initial process no longer exists. Some ideas were brought up, and absolutely nothing was decided. I cannot say exactly what was talked about because I was in another room and only heard bits and pieces of the discussion. (how dare they when it is *my* award to give? {bg}, and yes John, I am totally kidding here, just to be clear)

The process should be determined by a few based on the advice of others and some community discussion. It is not something that can be ironed out by 100,000 people, or even the 10-15% that really are involved online in the community. That is totally impractical. Heck, 10 people ironing out a process will be a chore unto itself.

>Well, perhaps if you'd provide the information you describe, you would not feel a need to insult me.

I am not feeling the need to insult you. I only feel the need to correct non-factual information when I read it, and sometimes I even can skip this. I barely know you John. I would have to take a lot more from you than some name calling to insult you. And since this conversation is nearly done, chances are good I won't.

I am not sure what information I have not described here.

>Can I just point out something here? I am a member of the community and surely I am allowed to question a process that apparently involves community. So why all the heat?

You certainly have the right to question a process. You even have the right to disagree with the selection process. Just as others have a right to question your intentions and correct any misinformation people seem determine to spread.

Heck, you even have the right to create your own award.

>Well, good luck to you.

Thanks. Good luck is something I totally appreciate in my life.
