>My Inspiron 9400 (also called 1705) seems a little fragile on the hinges, but otherwise it works great and is fast (using Vista!).
Yes mine corners splitted in spite of I just use it at home. It's case is not so much good.

>The reason I have the 9400 is because my 3 year old fully loaded Dell 9100 died last year while still under warranty. It took over 2 weeks of arguing with Dell support which included shipping the laptop twice for repair before they gave up and offered me the 9400 (fully loaded with new warranty - I purchased additional 3 yr warranty too). It was a complete pain in the butt being without the machine, but at least I have a much newer machine now.
In Turkey their service good too. Mine LCD fixed in one week. One of mine customers (I sold him two Toshiba notebook) Toshiba Notebooks needed to service. Both of the two notebooks stayed one month in service (They used all of legal period). Toshiba is a good brand but it's service in there is bad.
