I bought a 50" Vizio flat screen. It costs about 1200 now. I got it at Circuit City and they gave 18 months - same as cash - which is free money.

As for the HDTV, there is more cost associated with this. You get cha-chinged out the proverbial wazoo. You have to purchase HDTV packages, then you have to have additional HDTV gear. If you want the NFL Direct TV package in HDTV, you have to pay additional, and your receiver has to be HDTV. Tivos are also required to be HDTV, I think.
