The app does include packs of the offending temp file. But as far as I am aware, this has never been a problem before. The anti-virus is MS Forefront and work station is windows 2000. If you are right, is there any way to stop this happening? Ta.

That would happen if you pack a table and the computer is running software that opens files like Antivirus scanners, or operating systems that keep locks longer than Windows, such as Samba.
