I saw Julie Lerhman use linq to join a sql table to an Outlook contacts collection. She started out in FoxPro long ago and mentioned that it made her think of FoxPro. The thing that caught my eye was the Linq for XML and being able to use SQL like syntax to query XML instead of XPATH.
