It was definitely a compliment.

I just read your posts in Kevin's Iraq thread and was surprised how strong they were. I'm not saying you shouldn't feel that way, just didn't know you did. Maybe if more Americans realized what Iraq is doing to our reputation around the world, even among people who are not basically anti-American, we would put pressure on the government to bring this foolish adventure to an end.
