>>Apropos of nothing, over the weekend I had a flashback to a scene involving you. It was at one of the early Whilfests and everyone was congregating in the Hyatt lobby to go to dinner. We were delayed because one of us (don't remember who) was talking to a street person passing through. Pretty wacko. Afterwards you said, "Do not engage them. Disengage! Disengage!" LOL

I'm not as anti-government as you (is anybody????) but, in general, I don't support laws which are designed to protect people from themselves (helmet laws are one example).
In this case, however, it's pretty clear (at least to me) that this is a dangerous activity. If talking on the phone while driving only put the driver at risk then I wouldn't support it. But, just as with DUI laws, the idiot takes out innocents with him/her. I don't see it as "Big Brother" at all.
Parentheticly, I worry about the in-vehicle Navigation screens. I don't have any experience with them, but I worry about the ability to concentrate on the road while trying to follow one of them.
