First, I think you're selling yourself short. Anyone that's been programming for 17 years has to have some analytical abilities/skills. If you want to improve your existing skills, I suggest you go to a local library or college bookstore and invest in a beginning/intermediate math/algebra (whatever you're comfortable with) book and work your way through all the word problems. This, I believe, will help you with your analytical skills.
As far as your learning other programming languages, I recommend
www.learnvisualstudio.net. Their lifetime membership fee was pretty reasonable when I signed up a year or so ago ($19.95), probably more now. They have some real good videos on all the .NET languages. You can also download all the express versions from microsoft (.NET, VB.net, C#.net, etc.)at
http://www.microsoft.com/express/vwd/Default.aspxSome very good books on all .net, including the express versions are available from Murach
http://www.murach.com/index.htm or amazon.com
These things will help you decide the direction you'll want to go.
