William,
Good advice; I will follow it. The problem is many of our clients have dual monitors and like to load up grids and grids of data windows to compare to one another. It's not just one window that's the problem, it is several decent size datasets all loaded up at once (perhaps I should have worded my question that way).
This is a big disappointment (no file buffering like is done in VFP) considering so "many" are touting .NET's SQL as being for "large databases" (at least that's what consultants are telling our clients and prospects) when ultimately our clients will have a reduced immediate viewing of their data!
Trust me, we have no need for doing anything on large datasets, I suspect my clients enjoy being able to rapidly flip through it fast to answer whatever business decision is on hand at the moment. I guess they will have to do with querying over and over.
Thanks.
