Actually, I think you're on to something. I think there should be a whole section of the Chatter Forum called 'Off-topic, Inappropriate and Harsh' <s>
(then I could do all my posting one place)

>There's something bothering me here.

>In the 'Best regards' thread started by Mike Bean there is an off-topic issue developing even after several requests to not go off-topic in esp. that thread.

>Moreover, inappropriate advice and venom are targeted at esp. Naomi.

>Take for example this advice: You need to seek help Naomi. You aren't going to get the help you need here. You need to find a qualified professional - there ARE things that can be done. You don't have to live like this. It's not going to just go away if you wait it out. Seek help. Apart from that it's inappropriate to go off-topic in esp. that thread, it is totally inappropriate to write this type of 'advice' in the PUBLIC forum of the UT. Examples: Re: Best regards Thread #1281674 Message #1282415 and Re: Best regards Thread #1281674 Message #1282462

Charles Hankey

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
