We have a set of applications developed in FP/Win 2.5b that will display an I/O error when starting, if there is no CD in the computer's CD drive. This does not happen on all computers, but there doesn't seem to be any pattern or cause for it. I don't think its got anything to do with the code per se, because I also experience a similar problem when I try to compile FP programs without a CD in my CD drive. I have heard of similar problems with ZIP drives.
It seems like the FP runtime is hitting every available drive when starting up, but I can't trap the error.
Has anybody also experienced this?
