Thanks to everybody for the good wishes.

I look around me and think to myself that maybe I don't really have it so bad.

The way I see it, I'm only a temporary paraplegic. In a couple of months, I'll be up and around, and maybe even allowed to drive once again (in Ontario, the doctor has to report this sort of thing, and I'm not allowed to drive until the attending doctor says it's ok).

Some of the folks I saw at Scarborough Grace Hospital when I was there aren't nearly so lucky.
