I agree, but it is not how it's perceived by the people I talk to. The point was to have a single platform (VFP9 SP2 SEDNA DBI CONTROLS) that others could extend without having to worry about future upgrades, now it has to be tweaked to work with a variety of configurations. You can use this if you have SP1, but not SP2 or viseaversa...

So instead of having a single unified permanent structure to work with which would encourage the remaining users to consolidate (upgrade) to that stable platform, many will not upgrade, there will be a mismash of versions, vendors will have to support these inconsistancy.
