I read an article a short time ago (can't find now), that said the Green way depends a lot fresh water being available. But even now, there is not enough. Also, mentioning corn (and other bio products), there is a shortage rising as we speak. The dream of the Ecotopia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecotopia) type world may be already beyond our reach.
