>>Don't you have a tv in your room with cable? Or is the tv room for visitors? Whenever I am waiting in the Drs office it drives me nuts to have to watch what is on the tv. Yesterday it was CBS soaps of all things! I think in most places the receptionist gets to pick and leaves it there unless someone complains. Last time I was at the Drs it was CNN news, and the time before that it was cartoon network. All the same I guess... :o)

>I do have a TV by my bed, but it's pretty much only turned on for basketball games. The TV room is just a big room with a few tables, a lot of chairs, some games etc, and a TV. Patients and family can go there to chat etc. I think it's mostly used by patients who are not in private rooms. It's a pretty large room and the chairs look comfortable. As for the TV, anybody can turn it on and watch whatever they want. 1st come, 1st serve.

>When I moved back to Toronto many years ago, I stayed with my brother and sister-in-law for about a month while I was looking for and finalising buying my house. They used to tape soaps during the day to watch in the evening. They gave me the old saw about, "if you watch for 2 weeks, you'll be hooked". I watched. It was a lie.

They would of loved the "SoapNet" channel. All Soaps, all the time. My late wife uses to watch almost all time.
