The difference is entertainment Peter. No one sees what happens on tv game shows and comedies as anything other than that. You won't see anyone holding signs telling an audience when to clap or laugh at a speech or town hall.

I live in a country where far too many people have a really negative opinion about the U.S. In debates with my fellow citizens I am always the one who defends the U.S. It sometimes ruins my name and costs me all the credit, but I think your country deserves it. Having said that, I also wish to be allowed to sometimes criticize your culture and here is such a case.
