>I suppose you could write a SP generator with a SP, though more usually it's done from an external application using metadata to generate the correct script based on database changes. Rod Paddock has (used to have?) a product called Dataclas that apparently generated not only SPs but middleware to use them. IOW generation is not dynamic like your SPT-generator, it's done at design-time and then distributed to customer servers along with any other revised apps or tiers. I have heard of dynamic SP generators, but IMHO they fail the "why would you" test.

John,

Maybe I am not remembering correctly, but in your old discussions where you were "against" (I know is not the right word that's why I put the quotes) SP and in favour of SPT / Remote Views (specially RV) that you were told that your approach was not good for DBAs like to have a tight control on the data? wouldn't dynamic SPs have this very same constraint?
