>I found WoodieW's message deliberately worded to be offensive. Re-read it and then tell me it's "just an opinion"!
Why would he opine that he doesn't even know why he got into VFP... and in a later message state that it was his first programming language??? I guess he didn't know that when he wrote first!

>His entire message (the first one) was designed to be belittling and demeaning. There are far far better ways to express an "opinion" than with the crap he wrote there.

>You did not "express an opinion". You pulled the trigger on your suicide belt.

Give me credit. If I am deliberately trying to be offensive then I can do a far better job than that.

I have been a member here for close to 4 years and have read and followed these boards a fair amount. Most of my handful of posts have been trying to be helpful and I haven't ever posted here trying to start a flame war.

For the record when I first started using vfp there wasn't a DotNet. I for the longest time thought that you just couldnt get any better than vfp but that was my own inexperience and naivety.

Feel free to come and take potshots at me, I'll sleep just the same tonight as I did the the night before. As ugly and as rude as this sounds I am going to put it bluntly: Those that refuse to adapt die. The development landscape isn't changing, it has changed. As Darwin noted, the most adaptable survive. If you don't fit into that group then give my regards to the Dodo.

As far as a "suicide belt" is concerned the word "hardly" springs to mind.
