LOL!

I'm positive the twit filter is a good thing for the community. The strength to not respond to those you feel are twits ebbs and flows. In weaker moments, one might shoot first. Better to twit than let fly.

It's been wonderfully peaceful in my UT life since I twitted a few members. The constant whining has gone away as if I've turned off an episode of Seinfeld! :)

As to the request, it was partly a joke and partly a political statement against how the rules say one thing, but are not enforced.

A comedian - I think it was that watermellon smashing guy Gallagher said drivers (and yes that means all drivers in case there was still any doubt) should be given rubber suction cup dart guns with their licenses. The darts could have a little flag that says "Stupid". When people do something dumb, others would shoot them in the trunk. When an officer sees omeone drive by with 10 or 15 of these, that person gets pulled over and given a ticket for being an ___hole! :)

The twit filter should be used as the yardstick for banning. If lots of people are twit filtering someone, ban them.

I suspect it would improve the signal to noise ratio on the UT.
