And as you walk down the street, hearing voices too indistinct to understand, or perhaps hear tourists talking in an unfamiliar tongue, or see children whispering together ... there will always, somehow, be the nagging feeling that.... they *know*.
Personally I don't see how you can live with it. Perhaps cosmetic surgery and enrolling in some government program used for relocating witnesses to serious crime ... ?
In any case I can see that life for you will never be the same, and I mourn your loss.
