You said there are mapped drives and that occasionally the launcher does "nothing." Both sound familiar. But what did you learn after the investigation and how will ADIR help?

In my case, even if the Copy command failed due to lack of admin rights, the Run command should still work--but it doesn't. And it's not a VFP issue; I have the same code as a VB script and it does "nothing" for these users as well.

I've pretty much given up getting the launcher to work with the old version. I'm hoping I never have to update the darned thing again anyway. But I really need something that will work dependably for every user before I deploy a total re-write of the app in May. If we accept that not all users will have admin rights, is there a launcher that does work?
